As a process of familiarizing myself with the style and rules that were followed by the Swiss Type movement (the development of the grid system and an emphasis on red, white and black color palletes), I designed this typography exercise. I began with a basic grid of type with nothing else and slowly progressed the heirarchy and the variations in color. I then took the entire grid and rotated it to provide visual interest and to incorporate a touch of avant garde and constructivism.
